Overview

The insurance industry attracts many enterpreneurs every year because of its popularity and income gains. Accordingly to BBC Research, the forecast size market of this industry was almost 10B in 2021.

The Bank i work for decided to create a web platform where companies can register, sell insurance products and get a comission for every sale made and I was hired to create te user experience and interfaces.

For NDA reasons, I can’t share the final result and anything related to the brand of the bank and the platform. this is why only wireframes will be displayed.

If you want to see UX/UI cases with high fidelity interfaces, just access the links below:

The Kick-off

When I started to work at the Bank, the first thing I did was to speak with Product Managers, Developers and Scrum Masters to understand business goals, technology limitations and what they already knew about the users.

The project had a tight deadline, so the stakeholders decided to focus in developing the web platform and then measure the user’s experience after the launch.

The process

This platform had a high ammount of features to design, so the processes differed from each other, accordingly to the complexity.

For some of them I created userflows and diagrams, for others I made paper wireframe (I feel more creative this way) and then High Fidelity Prototyping using Figma, following the Bank’s Design System.

When a feature was finished, I usually present it to my UX leader first and then participate in Business and Technical Refinements meetings with PMs, Developers, QAs and Scrum masters.

Wireframes

For this project I used the Bank’s Design System and also had the opportunity to contribute creating and updating some components to better adapt to context of use.

The prototypes were made in Figma, the official design tool at the bank.

As already said, I don’t have permission to show the final version and anything related to the Bank’s brand. Below you can check some wireframes:

Conclusion and next steps

The Platform registering form was launched in september of 2024, and in the first month there were already 32 interested companies (Now it is 64).

I am very happy that so many companies were interested. We already have plans to measure the experience, collect feedbacks from users and to improve the interface and propose new features.
